Bug Description

I've "Epiphany" and "New tab" selected on the "Preferred Applications" window but sensible-browser opens URLS in Epiphany but in a new window. It would be great if it could detect more advanced settings such as the "in a new tab" option.

Also please consider that there are users (like me :P) who use Openbox or other window managers, so if possible this detection shouldn't rely on environment variables set by GNOME, etc.

Hmm, I can't reproduce this, it seems to honor the Preferred Applications setting for me with Epiphany, Firefox and Opera. I'm running trunk though, but I don't think anything relating to this has changed since 0.11.

Could you run terminator from a terminal, with the -d option and attach the log here?

Changed in terminator:
status: New → Incomplete

Seems like the bug is in xdg-open.

Further, the problem is actually in sensible-browser, which xdg-open calls instead of gnome-open because I'm running Openbox.
