Bug Description

Binary package hint: sendmail

KUbuntu 8.04 new Install

I installed the mail utils package and sendmail. The /etc/mail sendmail.rc and other scripts are pointing to /usr/share/sendmail-cf instead of the apparently changed directory structure, which is now /usr/share/sendmail/cf. I got around this bug by putting a soft link into /usr/share.

ln -s ./sendmail/cf ./sendmail-cf

Could you please check that this is still the case for 8.04.1?

I have installed 'sendmail' on 8.04.1 and an unable for find any instances of sendmail-cf in /etc/mail.

  eg. 'grep -R sendmail-cf /etc/mail' doesn;t return any matches.

I believe this to be fixed. There are no more references to sendmail-cf.
