Bug Description

i ran:

apt-get install selinux-basics selinux-policy-default selinux-policy-dev selinux-policy-doc selinux-policy-dummy selinux-policy-mls selinux-policy-src makeselinux-utils

after rebooting from installing selinux.

trying to compile libvirt: (errors)
/usr/bin/ld: ../src/.libs/libvirt-lxc.so: undefined reference to symbol 'freecon'
/usr/bin/ld: note: 'freecon' is defined in DSO /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libselinux.so.1 so try adding it to the linker command line
/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libselinux.so.1: could not read symbols: Invalid operation
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status

prob didn't need to install all of those packages, but i'm just throwing stuff at it in hopes that it will build

If you're not using a build tool such as sbuild or pbuilder to help with repeatable builds, you probably want to run "apt-get build-dep libvirt" to install the packages declared as build dependencies of libvirt before recompiling libvirt.

I hope this helps, thanks.

@seth

i completely forgot about build-dep, thanks for the reminder. while i was missing a few packages, the error still happened at the same place.

since this is technically a bug report for selinux, i don't expect any follow up on my issues with building libvirt.
i've since given up on building it. the reason i was trying to build it to begin with no longer applies to me.

thanks a lot though!
