Bug Description

Ubuntu Operating System software crashes when SearchMonkey is allotted with search-terms containing lesser than 3-4 characters (depending on system configuration). This freezes Ubuntu Kernel (which I believe happens due to high priority threads to unnecessary processes created due to misreported file size; Reference: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/searchmonkey/+bug/693943).

Even X server hangs and so is the case with entire OS. Alt+SysRq+sequence does not work (sequence being REISUB). None of the OS-internal SIG signals are triggered and SearchMonkey does not let Ubuntu respond even to ACPI signals.

This problem can be reproduced by cloning repositories and searching for "9002" and "9003". (as mentioned in http://docs.erlerobotics.com/simulation/configuring_your_environment) (I am using Lenovo y50-70 with Ubuntu 14.04 with default hardwares)
