This is the case for the moment on Natty, but maybe not on Oneiric where SeaMonkey and Thunderbird currently are in sync.
The problem is that the Enigmail package is different for different versions of SeaMonkey and Thunderbird, so the three packages SeaMonkey, Thunderbird and Enigmail need to be updated at the same time, or Enigmail will become disabled in at least one of the e-mail clients. The Enigmail builds available from http:// enigmail. mozdev. org/ are supposed to work only with Mozilla's own Seamonkey and Thunderbird builds (as opposed to Ubuntu's builds), so they aren't useful either.
