Here's an example using Daniel G. Siegel's key, attached.
If I click, File, Import, and choose this key, I get this error:
Couldn't import keys
file:///home/david/Desktop/key: Invalid file format

gpg works as expected:
david@david-laptop:~/Desktop$ gpg --import key
gpg: key 6EEC9E62: public key "Daniel G. Siegel <email address hidden>" imported
gpg: Total number processed: 1
gpg: imported: 1

Here's my info:
Distro: Ubuntu 9.04
Package: seahorse 2.26.1-0ubuntu1
