This crash has the same stack trace characteristics as bug #258149. However, the latter was already fixed in an earlier package version than the one in this report. This might be a regression or because the problem is in a dependent package.

Not sure if this would make any difference in how the bug is fixed.

This installation of Ubuntu 8.10 beta was installed on a Windows XP installation of Virtual Box.

This looks like a duplicate of bug 272390, which as been fixed with seahorse 2.24.1-0ubuntu1. Thanks for your report.
