Bug Description
Since switching to systemd the Kubuntu live CD no longer boots into a live desktop.
It'll boot into ubiquity-dm and on clicking Try Kubuntu it'll kill ubiquity and just show a blank screen. It can't then switch vt at all.
I did get it to boot into a desktop once by switching vt first before clicking Try Kubuntu.
This is something to do with sddm, ubiquity-dm and systemd.
When we used upstart it skipped over ubiquity-dm because I could not work out how to get the vt transition to work. sddm likes to work on vt 1 while ubiquity-dm likes good old vt7

I downloaded http://
I then pressed a key at the first gfxboot screen (the keyboard == man one), and there are no other options related to a life session. I tried "check disc for defects" and that worked.
Can you please be more specific what's broken here? This doesn't sound "Critical" to me?

tried this today and it's all better.
Maybe it was infinity's fix of initctl or maybe it was my fix of making sddm start on vt7 or maybe something else entirely. Nice to have fixed anyway.

Could be in ubiquity or sddm, picking one for now until we know what's up here.

what does that mean? Does it disable that job somehow? ubiquity-dm is for the "install without live session" mode, it shouldn't be involved in the live session at all.
Either way, need to download a Kubuntu and look into this properly.
