Since you are using Focal, targeted "confirmed" to Focal as was the previous status before the apport information was discovered as missing. However, I don't know if the bug exists in either Impish or Jammy, so leaving as "new" there. As far as Hirsute, since it's EOL in just under 3 months, marking as "Won't Fix".

Additionally, this is a package that is sync'd without changes from Debian, so it would be nice if you could report this upstream. https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Debian/Bugs provides the instructions on how to do that. Once that's done, report the bug number back here so we can track it.

Rather than that, please try the Scribus PPA. If it behaves wrongly in that build as well, please consider sending the bug upstream or writing to Scribus' support mailing list for more details.

Honestly, I don't think there is much value in following bugs like this downstream: it's *very* unlikely that we packagers will even try to fix such a bug, instead, it would just clog up the bug tracker.

I could perhaps try to reproduce it and if I can confirm forward it upstream myself, but realistically it doesn't make much sense, I probably wouldn't even be able to figure out the characters I'm looking for. This kind of locale-specific bug really needs somebody with a vested interest to peruse it.
