I think the gmail screenlet password field is problematic with some characters, probably the slash "/" character.
1. Install screenlets / Launch the gmail screenlet
2. Right-click on gmail screenlet > Properties > Options > gmail
3. Type in your details, and test it with a password that contains the "/" character, i.e: We1rd/PASS
4. Press the Apply buttons.
5. The gmail screenlet will probably work well and update. Close gmail screenlet properties, and reopen it, head to Options > gmail again.
6. The select password appears in weird "box with an X" characters (here referred as "[X]"), try to clear the password field.
I couldn't clear the password field, a part with [X][X]3 would remain, I couldn't delete it.
The problem goes away when you type anything in the password, hit apply, close the properties window, reopen it once more, head back to options > gmail, now you can clear the password field.
Thank you for reporting this issue. I am able to confirm this bug on Hardy-32 also. The password field become jumbled when a slash is entered into the password field.
