Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-control-center

When I apply the extended desktop in gnome-display-properties, he ask me to logout and login again but he doesn't apply any change (resolution or screen configuration). I've got a clone-display with 1024x768 resolution which is not my original resolution (1280x800).

Hi edhelas,

Would you mind attaching your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file after you attempt to enable the extended desktop in gnome-display-properties and log out and in?

Also, what are the resolutions of your two monitors? Are they both 1280x800?

Thanks!

I correct myself the bug by changing the virtual resolution in the Xorg :
Section "Screen"
        Identifier "Configured Screen Device"
        Device "Configured Video Device"
        SubSection "Display"
                Virtual 2560 2048
        EndSubSection
EndSection

Section "Device"
        Identifier "Configured Video Device"
EndSection

Why the default resolution didn't was 2560 ? I also think that gnome-display-prophetie didn't change xorg.conf when I apple the dual screen extended configuration.

I also got a new bug, the gnome wallpaper didn't cover all the virtual screen surface (also with very large wallpaper like 3000x800).

the comment was not clear, apparently the xorg value was not correct could be a bug fixed recently in screen-resolution-extra though
