no text input in flash forms when scim is active

This may be related to bug 211193 (scim can't input chinese word in flash).

Whenever scim is running (even in "English keyboard" mode), I cannot enter any text at all in flash forms. Maybe you want to try for yourself at http://www.kirupa.com/developer/actionscript/flash_php_email.htm (some random URL I googled for purpose of illustration).

I believe "gdmflexiserver -n" and virtualbox are also negatively affected. The keyboard stops to work inside those apps, too, when scim is running. I will verify this later.

I'm having the exact same problem with the flash application at http://smart.fm/ Shutting down SCIM solves it.

Same problem here. (Karmic, up to date as of 2009-12-29). I have to disable scim to enter text into flash forms.

The flash I was using happened to be at floorplanner.com

This works fine at least in 1.4.14-6 now
