scim takes 800mb at start and freezes computer

Bug Description

Binary package hint: scim

When i start my gnome session, all is freezing. Scim runs 2 sessions which load more than 800mb, and the computer is freezing. I can't stop these sessions..
i'm on hardy 8.4.1
scim version : 1.4.7-3ubuntu8
kernel version : 2.6.24.13-19.45

Could you check if this issue is still happening in Ubuntu Intrepid Beta?

Also, if you use Intrepid to test this issue, please do the following after you have tested with the default installation:

Open System -> Administration -> Software Sources -> Third-Party Software and add the following link:

deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/arnegoetje/ubuntu intrepid main

Then refresh your packages list and update the scim-bridge-agent ans scim-bridge-client-gtk packages.

Then log out and in again and see if the problem is fixed.
