Bug Description
Binary package hint: scim
After following the instructions for adding Japanese Language input to an English version of Ubuntu, I found that launching Synaptic Package Manager causes a second SCIM icon to appear beside the initial SCIM icon.
The instructions can be found at:
https:/
Please note: I did not follow the downloading external fonts instructions as I did not think the base fonts were that ugly.

Known problem. The second tray icon is for the GTK applications started as root.
Note this only happens with GTK_IM_MODULE=scim, which is (probably) the default for feisty (7.04). So far gutsy is not using this as default.
