I can't rename files or folders in Nautilus consistently

Bug Description

Binary package hint: nautilus

It doesn't matter whether I'm in root or not.

Usually it doesn't work. With root, it works more often. But many times it won't work with root either.

Would SCIM have a conflict with Nautilus?

BTW, I'm using Ubuntu 7.04. I have Gnome, KDE and XFCE installed, but I use Gnome as the environment.

I was able to resolve this bug by uninstalling Korean language support, support for complex characters in language support, and all SCIM related software in Synaptic.

I think SCIM has some serious issues and bugs up many programs...somebody needs to fix it.

The information given in this bug is too limited.

I'm marking it as a duplicate of bug #90043, which also talks about not being able to rename files in nautilus when using scim, but with much more information. If the symptom of this bug is different, feel free to change the duplication status.
