Bug Description
Binary package hint: schroot
After upgrading from lucid->maverick, schroot environments are practically unusable; it appears that basic environment variables are not being set including HOME, LOGNAME, TERM and SHELL.
Setting this variables manually works round this issue.

This appears to be a regression in 1.4.7-1; 1.4.8-1 has a specific fix to address this issue.
