Bug Description

Binary package hint: schooltool

If schooltool-2009 or similar package is removed but not purged, the configuration file /etc/schooltool/schooltool-2009/main.conf and script /etc/init.d/schooltool-2009 are left on disk, so on startup this service is being started but crashes.

Possible solution: postrm script should disable schooltool-2009 service so that it is not started. Look at how other services do that.

This bug is fixed by:

schooltool-common (6ubuntu3) jaunty; urgency=low

  * Quietly exit if the package was removed (Closes LP: #419944)
  * Allow any user to query status of the server.
  * Change maintainer to myself in copyright file.
  * Bump debian/compat to 5.
  * Bump Standards-Version to 3.8.3, no changes needed.
