So, is there any possibility of this happening? Should I file a bug in Debian?

Sync request ACKed

Please note that the "Nominate for Release" option is for Stable Release Updates and critical bugs that will block a release. New upstream releases are not usually appropriate for SRUs. This might be a good candidate for a backport though. Please see the following for information on backporting this to previous releases:

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuBackports#How to request new packages

Thanks!

A new sauerbraten-data package is necessary too.

I also had a small question to ask. On the page for this package in Launchpad, it says that I uploaded the package. I did not upload the package. I do not even have upload privileges for the repository. How did that happen?

The scripts we use to process sync request bugs default to using the bug reporter as the uploader, which is how you ended up there; I just forgot to override it to Wouter in this case. It's fairly harmless though ...
