Hm, this scanner does exist in /usr/share/ hal/fdi/ preprobe/ 10osvendor/ 20-libsane. fdi already, so that part should be alright.
Can you please plugin the scanner, and do
lshal > hal.txt
and attach hal.txt here? Thanks!
