Have EpsonCX4600 printer/scanner which worked out of the box in 14.04. Both xsane and simplescan can detect what kind of scanner I have, but cannot connect to it.

With my Epson Stylus CX4600 printer/scanner in Ubuntu 16.04 xsane and simplescan can detect what kind of scanner I have, but cannot connect to it.
This worked fine in 14.04.
