Binary package hint: samba
There exist some driver incompatibilities between Samba and Windows 7 x64. The driver is able to be installed successfully, but attempting to then connect to the printer (via Samba) produces Error code 0x000003e6 within Windows.

There exist some driver incompatibilities between Samba (3.4+) and Windows 7 x64. The driver is able to be installed successfully, but attempting to then connect to the printer (via Samba) produces Error code 0x000003e6 within Windows.
There does not appear to be a direct correlation with a specific Make or Model of printer, as it has been observed across multiple. It may sometimes be temporarily resolved by re-exporting or re-upload of the affected driver, but this has not been shown to be a permanent solution. The only known workaround is to downgrade to Samba 3.3.
