Binary package hint: update-manager
See screenshot. The post install screen for samba: the OK button in the terminal does not work. The update manager provides no option to continue or cancel. The only way to stop it is to do a "sudo kill"

I'm reaffecting to samba. If it's still an issue, the reproduce is and attach the files /var/log/ apt/term. log and /var/log/daemon.log
