Bug Description

Binary package hint: samba

smbclient has the ability to give both username and password in the -U as 'username%password' for automated logins.

But when the -N (no password prompt) option is used, an anonymous login is used instead.

As there has been no change in the man page docs on -U and -N, I think this is a bug.

This effects smbclient in both Ubuntu 9.10 (3.4.0-3ubuntu5.4) and Ubuntu 10.04 alpha (3.4.6~dfsg-1ubuntu2).

I have tested this on Samba servers from those releases and also Ubuntu 8.04 (3.0.28a-1ubuntu4.10). Smbclient on Ubuntu 8.04 is not effected by this bug.
