Bug Description

In Ubuntu 8.10 winbind (version 2:3.2.3-1ubuntu3.4) dont obey the paramater "winbind use default domain = yes" when use the command "getent group". The domain part isn't excluded.

Example:

getent group

administradores de esquemas:x:10006:CREDIMEPI\Administrador
administração de empresa:x:10007:CREDIMEPI\Administrador
controladores de domínio:x:10005:

The correct output would be:

administradores de esquemas:x:10006:Administrador
administração de empresa:x:10007:Administrador
controladores de domínio:x:10005:

Is there a known work around for this? I checked and it does not look like there is a newer samba/winbind version available for 8.10.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Karmic Koala. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the next release of Ubuntu. You can find out more about the development release at http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/. Thanks again and we appreciate your help.
