Which version of Ubuntu are you running? This may be a duplicate of a bug already fixed in Ubuntu 8.04.

I did try your package, I guess I forgot to report that I did not see the problem afterword.

I'm now running 3.0.28a-1ubuntu4.4 and don't see this problem.
