Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.
Bug reporting is about finding & fixing problems thus preventing future users from hitting the same bug.
I suspect a Support site would be more appropriate, eg. https:/ /answers. launchpad. net/ubuntu. You can also find help with your problem in the support forum of your local Ubuntu community http:// loco.ubuntu. com/ or asking at https:/ /askubuntu. com or https:/ /ubuntuforums. org, or for more support options please look at https:/ /discourse. ubuntu. com/t/community -support/ 709
You've filed this bug report against `ubiquity` as an installation problem, but have provided no specifics as to what ISO you're trying to install etc. The `ubiquity` installer doesn't use SaMBa. You can convert this bug report into a question, which is aimed at support.
I've marked this bug report as 'incomplete' as it appears you'd benefit more from support. If this is changed to a question; after additional details have been added the bug-report can be continued or a new one filed. If you believe I'm in error, please leave a comment as to why and the status can be returned to "New". You'll need to run `apport-collect 1974479` once on the impacted box too so specific details can be obtained.
