Bug Description

samba-common is not installed with samba

I removed samba with --purge and tried reinstalling samba to get fresh a fresh configuration but configuration files did not install

shouldn't samba-common be a dependency to samba?

It is a dependency on Hardy; which version of Ubuntu are you using?

Gutsy, i have seen people on ubuntuforums report same problem.
