This certainly is no samba bug.
I'm not even sure what it should be TBH.
It might be nvidia/amd drivers if those fail to initialize.
X11 or XFCE if they have issues.
Or VLC if you actually have DRI support but VLC fails still.
Sorry, but this depends too much on your case, so I can't re-target the bug.
But samba it isn't.
