Thanks for filing this bug in Ubuntu.

The logs indicate that the nmbd service failed to start:
   Status: "nmbd: No local IPv4 non-loopback interfaces available, waiting for interface ..."

This usually indicates a local network configuration problem.

You should revise these parameters:
 interfaces = 127.0.0.1/8 192.168.0.0/24
 remote announce = 192.168.0.255
 remote browse sync = 192.168.0.255

Compare them with your network configuraion and make sure the network class is correct. You usually don't have to set remote announce to the local broadcast address.

Please attach the nmbd log file from /var/log/samba/log.nmbd as it will have more details about this error.
