Unfortunately that output got trimmed, but on your system you should get a better readable one via
$ systemctl winbind status

You should then try to fixx up your local configuration - as it seems some non-default directory configurations were set.

From what I can read there is seems like a broken setup in regard to some related paths.
The history of dpkg mentions winbind was installed but an upgrade on "2017-06-02 10:12:11" failed.

Was winbind installed and configured fine and runnign before that?
Because if it was installed and not properly configured then all following upgrades will fail as they need to restart the service on upgrade.
So if it was never working (or was not needed) please remove the package - that will unblock your upgrades in general to pass correctly then.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.

Since it seems likely to me that this is a local configuration problem, rather than a bug in Ubuntu, I'm marking this bug as Incomplete.

If indeed this is a local configuration problem, you can find pointers to get help for this sort of problem here: http://www.ubuntu.com/support/community

Or if you believe that this is really a bug, then you may find it helpful to read "How to report bugs effectively" http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem, explain why you believe this is a bug in Ubuntu rather than a problem specific to your system, and then change the bug status back to New.

Changed in samba (Ubuntu):
status: New → Incomplete
