Yakkety and Zesty are using versions > 4.4, so this is fixed in the
development release.

Here is the noted commit from the bug. Looking at the Xenial source I do
not see that commit present:
https://jelmer.uk/klaus/samba/commit/f121173cbf46fe64746d73adf40015c43d5c55fc/

If you need a fix for an existing stable release, please read the SRU page:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates#When then complete steps 1
through 4 of https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates#Procedure

Note that that SRU team would need to make a final decision on accepting
an SRU.

[Impact]
 1. Admin cannot remove or demote RODC

[Test Case]
 1. Setup samba4 AD DC according to http://www.tecmint.com/install-samba4-active-directory-ubuntu/
 2. Setup another samba4 and join it to the AD domain (http://www.tecmint.com/join-additional-ubuntu-dc-to-samba4-ad-dc-failover-replication/)
 3. Try to demote the RODC: sudo samba-tool domain demote %RODCNAME% -U%username%

[Regression Potential]
 * No idea

I also seems that newer samba is not fully working either, thanks hata_ph for reporting bug 1665249 as well.
