Bug Description

first off, couldnt get the samba config to open, i followed an online guide to get it run, just by adding a blank file sudo pluma /etc/libuser.conf

now it opens, created some shares, couldnt access them, changed security from 'user' to 'share', now i could access some of the shares, but after a short while it stopped working completely. could reopen the program again. uninstalled program, installed again. failed to install. bug report

You have an invalid setting for the "security" parameter in smb.conf:

# testparm ./smb.conf
Load smb config files from ./smb.conf
rlimit_max: increasing rlimit_max (1024) to minimum Windows limit (16384)
