I have been using smbclient to allow access to my NAS. This has worked well in 14.04. But around Jan 2015 it has stopped working. I get extremely slow access to Windows netowrk and then repeated request for password and no access. I know the passwords etc. are correct. But appears now that smbclient has stopped working. I am not a Linux expert, but I have succesfully used smbclient more or less since 9.04, so I do believe it is a bug. IPossibly linked, an updaye around the same time broke my HP wireless printer driver and i was forced to update that. perhaps related?
