sakura flashing for attention with no commands and when not focused

To reproduce on lubuntu xenial on sakura launch sakura run date then walk away focus on another window and do not touch sakura. within 20 minutes sakura will on lxpanel look like something that should notifiy the user like having someone say your name in hexchat or do something that should prompt the user. when nothing is run from sakura and no tasks are currently running.
