Crashes while opening the edit window

Bug Description
Binary package hint: sabayon
Steps to reproduce:
1) Install sabayon
2) Create a profile
3) Edit it
Expected behaviour:
The edit window opens and lets me do its thing
Actual behaviour:
The edit window opens, various messages appear in its status bar, the desktop background image appears in the edit window, then the edit window closes and a popup appears telling that there was a problem and asking to submit the log for the error (which I'm attaching).
I can replicate this 100% of the times, both with and without desktop effects enabled.
