sabayon crashes in ubuntu 8.1

Bug Description

Binary package hint: sabayon

Fresh install of Sabayon, ran it created a profile, added a user clicked in edit, screen gets launched starts loading and then it crashes and tells me to submit the bug found in the root dir.

Exactly what also happens to me, same log output. Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid.

Same for me. Same log.

If I run from command line (i.e. 'sudo sabayon')
I get this:

/etc/gdm/Xsession: Beginning session setup...
Setting IM through im-switch for locale=en_GB.
Start IM through /etc/X11/xinit/xinput.d/all_ALL linked to /etc/X11/xinit/xinput.d/default.
Checking for Xgl: not present.
xset q doesn't reveal the location of the log file. Using fallback /var/log/Xorg.0.log
Detected PCI ID for VGA:
Checking for texture_from_pixmap: present.
Checking for non power of two support: present.
Checking for Composite extension: not present.
aborting and using fallback: /usr/bin/metacity
Initializing nautilus-share extension
Dumped debug log to /root/sabayon-debug-log-2009-02-05-03-46-23.txt
