sa-exim 4.2.1-14+deb8u1build0.16.04.1 source package in Ubuntu
Changelog
sa-exim (4.2.1-14+deb8u1build0.16.04.1) xenial-security; urgency=medium * fake sync from Debian sa-exim (4.2.1-14+deb8u1) jessie-security; urgency=high * Non-maintainer upload by the LTS team. * Fix CVE-2019-19920: It was found that sa-exim allows attackers to execute arbitrary code if users are allowed to run custom rules. A similar issue was fixed in spamassassin, CVE-2018-11805, which caused a functional regression in sa-exim. This update restores the compatibility between spamassasin and sa-exim. The security implications of sa-exim's greylisting function are documented in /usr/share/doc/sa-exim/README.greylisting.gz. -- Paulo Flabiano Smorigo <email address hidden> Tue, 15 Sep 2020 13:53:57 +0000

- sa-exim: SpamAssassin filter for Exim
SA-Exim integrates SpamAssassin filtering at SMTP time with the Exim
v4 MTA. It may be used to reject incoming mails before they arrive, or
even to tie up the sender's resources by slowing down the connection
("teergrubing").
.
Most of the functionality of this package can also be achieved
using the exiscan ACL conditions built into the "heavy" Exim daemon,
exim-daemon-heavy. Use this package if you need SpamAssassin's
report_safe feature, or if you want to have easier control over the
header fields added, without using the report template to add multiple
fields.
