Bug Description
Function:
A Linux application can access new data sets that were created after zdsfs was mounted without the need to remount zdsfs
Business Value:
By removing the need to unmount/remount the zdsfs file system to access new data sets, the number of use cases for which customers can deploy Linux on Z together with z/OS is increased.
Implementation:
- zdsfs uses ECKD Reserve/Release to serialize access to the VTOC information whenever the list of available data sets is queried (readdir, open)
Will be made available with s390-tools 2.8.0
