I assume that this ticket makes LP 1721209 obsolete:

Today s390tools-2.2.0 for kernel 4.14 was made available here:
https://github.com/ibm-s390-tools/s390-tools/releases/tag/v2.2.0

There will be an upgrade to newer version for kernel 4.15 during January timeframe.

For kernel 4.15 a new version 2.2.1 will be made available soon.
Version 2.2.0 ist for kernel 4.15......

IBM bugzilla status -> closed, version 2.2.0 available with 18.04.
For version 2.2.1 a new bugzilla will be opened
