Bug Description

I had this problem upgrading as I followed the upgrade path acrosss upgrades. I suspect it relates to something about this install because my other computer's Ubuntu upgrade had no problems.

I am using 12.4 now.
I think the path is wrong somewhere to my ruby 1.8, but I cannot find where.
any help would be great.
