Enabling the option in an SRU seems a bit risky to me, since it wasn't exposed to testing during the karmic cycle. Michael tested this, and enabling it fixes a regression to syslog, so let's accept this and bake in -proposed for a while.

I veto against removing kernel timestamps in an SRU, too much string fiddling. It seems that the main cause for this were the temperature messages, which have been fixed already. Excessive logging from the kernel should be fixed at the root (in the kernel itself).
