Bug Description

The ubuntu version of this package ships without mongodb support

mongo now appears to be in trusty so it would be possible to enable the compile of the rsyslog-mongo package

I did complete testing of rsyslog + mongodb + loganalyzer in Debian wheezy-backports and it all worked (using 7.4.4-1 with a couple of patches cherry picked from upstream)

The latest 7.4.8-1 in sid today now has the same patches from upstream to work reliably with mongodb

Any update on this? It would be great if the mongodb support is re added to the rsyslog package.

I did recompile the rsyslog package with mongodb support enabled using apt-get source and it worked well with libmongo-client-dev offcial package.

I use this on many Debian systems now, I don't think there is a good
reason for Ubuntu to leave it out any more.

It was a bit flaky before but upstream were really helpful when a few of
us started testing it and giving them feedback and now it is stable and
fully supported.

It works well with the LogAnalyzer package too.
