Not sure if ecryptfs as destination is required to hit this bug, but it sure makes it easier to trigger.

This bug was filled a long time ago so it is probably fixed. Also, as Hans noted, this looks like a dup of LP: #279557 so I'll mark it as such. Please re-open if that is still a problem, thanks!
