I have an rsync-based backup routine. Today I had the following error:

This problem does not exist in rsync version 3.0.3-2 (from debian oldstable). With Versions 3.0.7 and 3.0.8 I have the same problem.

The rsync versions mentioned in the bug are very old and the distro version they came with, long out of support. As such, I'll mark the issue as incomplete until this can be reproduced/confirmed with a recent/supported version. Thanks!
