/var/run/rsnapshot vanishes during reboots in 14.04

Bug Description

The default run file location is /var/run/rsnapshot/rsnapshot.pid . I assume the package creates the directory. As of 14.04 the /var/run directory is in RAM disk, so its contents vanish each reboot. Then rsnapshot will fail.

I put commands to create the directory in /etc/rc.local but there's probably a more elegant solution.

Hello,

The default configuration should be /var/run/rsnapshot.pid (see http://sources.debian.net/src/rsnapshot/1.3.1-4/rsnapshot.conf.default.in/#L131), is it a custom configuration on your setup ?
Anyway, as rsnapshot is not really a daemon (launched by cron), if the pid don't exist and if the user running rsnapshot can write, the file is re-created. The pid file is created to ensure that it only run once at a time as a lockfile.
