Bug Description

Lucid (Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS) has rsnapshot 1.3.0-2 which has this issue:
When sync_first=1 is set in the config file, it is impossible to create an initial backup. Expected: it would work, like it does in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. What happened: error.
The workaround is to manually set sync_first to 0, make the first backup, and then set it to 1.

This is fixed in 1.3.1, but 1.3.1-3 is not yet available for Lucid, also not in backports.
Easy fix: release 1.3.1-3 in Lucid-backports.

I think this is the same bug, more extensively:

I encounter this bug, using Ubuntu 12,04 and rsnapshot 1.3.1. So apparantly, the bug is *not* fixed in 1.3.1 (or later. It even seems to be worse: after setting sync_first to 1, no backup works, not only the first one. My bug could be a different bug because I have not seen any error message as in this bug (even when verbose = 5), it just does not work: no error/warning/message but no backup.
