Bug Description

I have Xubuntu 20.04 installed on two machines. I use Gigolo to connect to the other machine. I navigate to a directory of images and click on one. Ristretto opens and immediately closes. If I start Ristretto from the command line it opens. I use its navigation tool to connect to a directory on the other machine. When I double click on an image, Ristretto immediately closes. On the command line is the line: Segmentation fault (core dumped)

I expected to display the image I clicked on to be displayed.

4) What happened instead

Ristretto crashed.

Ristretto works fine locally. It's only when I try to look at images on a separate machine. Ristretto on Xubuntu 18.04 works fine across the network.

I think that we had same issue. Can you try this :
1) Launch terminal and type "gbd ristretto"
2) Type "run"
3) choose your image

Then the app crashed. Type "backtrace" and look if you had the same error than me => bug #1967618
