It looks like the package was never in Debian. It might have come in from Debian Multimedia. Do you have a link to where it's maintained, either in Debian Multimedia or upstream?

Changed in ripmake (Ubuntu):
status: New → Incomplete
Jackson Doak (noskcaj) wrote :

Upstream is at http://www.lallafa.de/bp/ripmake.html and has not released since 2004.
It is from debian multimedia, which is slightly ahead of us. http://www.deb-multimedia.org/dists/unstable/main/binary-amd64/package/ripmake

Since there still is a (small) userbase, it might be better to merge this from debian-multimedia next cycle.

Changed in ripmake (Ubuntu):
status: Incomplete → New

Does it still work? and it looks like we have same upstream version number as debian multimedia.
What do you mena by "slightdly ahead of us" ?

Dimitri John Ledkov (xnox) wrote :

well i see there is one patch to fix version check of transcode. I guess that could be merged. Or simply upload -dmo1 into ubuntu.

summary: - Please remove ripmake from the ubuntu archives
+ Please merge ripmake from debian multimedia archive
