Bug Description

1) person 1 creates jami account, sends identifier to person 2
2) person 2 creates jami account, sends request
3) person 1 accepts request
person 2 hasn't set up their account yet so their account name is a ginormous string of hexidecimal

okay that's fine if you only have 1 friend.
but if you have 150+ contacts...and none of them rename themselves...you are going to have a HARD time keeping track of who is who
And generally...it is useful to be able to rename contacts. ICE for example is a standard 'in case of emergency' number to call. Not having this feature is kind of a usability problem.
