Activate the 'Song Lyrics' plugin -> 'Preferences'
In here, the 'Browse' button doesn't work, and manually written paths are not saved.

This bug is also affecting the current precise pangoline alpha, seeing as Rhythmbox is now the default player, this issue is a bit more important.

Also when You put lyrics path with dconf editor. You see the correct path into rhythmbox, Put still it does not read any already avbl lyric or insert new ones

Since I wrote the absolute path of the lyrics folder with dconf-editor into org.gnome.

There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running apport-collect <bug #> and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.

I've got the same problem. Also, for me, it never ever find any lyrics form any sites. I have manually checked for a tune that is on the astraweb.com website.
